Oh well.. this summery blogging beast SUCKED big time!
Hello all my beautiful reading, writing and blogging beasts around the world!
My unexpected little Summerlypses is finally over just in time to dive in Fallcalypses with back to school, sports and the biggest project we have every year at the office due in October! UGH! This August wrap up will be quick because I really sucked as a reading, writing and blogging beast, and… Let’s say good bye to summery headers! [sniffs]
WHYYYYYY DOES SUMMER HAVE TO END?? WHYYYY???
We had two staycations in August, but with the weather so yucky we didn’t go to the beach much and stayed at the pool and our little pond.
It was a fun and relaxing summer, nevertheless! I posted about our Summers in New England last week, if you want to see more pictures.
I posted eleven posts in August which is not THAT bad, but let’s face it! I was just pathetic as a blogger this summer! So behind with my visiting and commenting! BUT I will continue to try to correct this atrocious situation the following days!
So, ok, I sucked in august as a blogger BUT…
I do keep my promises to my beautiful beasts!
As promised, the blog is back to the dark side! The books for which I’m posting reviews will continue to get darker and darker from very disturbing topics in September to scary, gory and downright terrifying dark fantasy and horror books in October!
Hope you all enjoy them!
I’m wasn’t a reading beast either in August either. 🙁 I finished TWO books [both books great, thank god!]
So, of course I was the usual DNF beast. I DNF many books!
Bone Gap is incredible people! Everything I was looking for in Magical Realism!
Don’t miss my review coming up soon!
Everyone knows Bone Gap is full of gaps—gaps to trip you up, gaps to slide through so you can disappear forever. So when young, beautiful Roza went missing, the people of Bone Gap weren’t surprised. After all, it wasn’t the first time that someone had slipped away and left Finn and Sean O’Sullivan on their own. Just a few years before, their mother had high-tailed it to Oregon for a brand new guy, a brand new life. That’s just how things go, the people said. Who are you going to blame?
Finn knows that’s not what happened with Roza. He knows she was kidnapped, ripped from the cornfields by a dangerous man whose face he cannot remember. But the searches turned up nothing, and no one believes him anymore. Not even Sean, who has more reason to find Roza than anyone, and every reason to blame Finn for letting her go.
As we follow the stories of Finn, Roza, and the people of Bone Gap—their melancholy pasts, their terrifying presents, their uncertain futures—acclaimed author Laura Ruby weaves a heartbreaking tale of love and loss, magic and mystery, regret and forgiveness—a story about how the face the world sees is never the sum of who we are.
This is what and reading next, three of them are pending ARCs…
And these are the reviews coming up…
Do you know how much I implemented of my Machiavellian Editland Survival Plan??
Nothing! Zero! Kaput! NADA!
I totally sucked as a writer too in August! 🙁
Since I haven’t been reading, writing or blogging… I’ve been productively procrastinating A LOT! 🙂 I’ve been taking my Bullet Journal everywhere and BuJo-ing non-stop! I’ve been a planning beast! 😉 So, of course I had to write a post about that! [because, seriously, what else? if I have not read or written?? LOL] So, don’t miss my next Productive Procrastination post Monday! Here is a sneak peek, my beautiful Butterfly helping me decorate my Bullet Journal…
So since I basically sucked as a reading, writing and blogging beast in August… Enough of me!
Tell me ABOUT YOU! What about you? How was your August?
I bet you rocked, at least compared to me! 🙂
[or have you been a procrastinating beast just like me? 🙂
TELL ME EVERYTHING! I can’t judge anyone 😉 ]
Thank you for visiting!
