#AmCurrently 20

Hello fantastic beasts!

Since I have been all over the place with various Productive Procrastination activities I decided to call my Sunday update “#AmCurrently” so I can update you on whatever is the last obsession of mine. Unfortunately the plain headers are back because I haven’t had the time to create beautiful fall headers. 🙁

I have three words for what I have been dong the last weeks…

I thought that the best way to tell you what I’ve been doing is to share with you Bullet Journal Back to School checklist. I have spent ENDLESS HOURS just scheduling the kids after-school activities and then scheduling the rest of our lives around them to make sure we also have time for the basic stuff like cooking, cleaning and laundry.

However busy, the last two weeks I was also a small blogging beast! I kinda caught up with responding to comments and visiting and drafted a few posts for the fall. Those were draft that had been waiting for a long time for me to schedule. I had 77 drafts because my dashboard has become some kind of brain dump where I start a post for every thought that comes to my mind! But I NEED to blog ahead if I want to survive fallcalypses because after-school activities and….

I’m so excited about NaNoWriMo since this would be my first time ever! I’ve done a few Camps NaNoWriMo but never the real deal. For those who have never heard of NaNoWriMo

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.

On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.

Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.

Writing a 50,000-word novel sounds DAUNTING, so I really want to be prepared! 🙂

I FINALLY started implementing my Editland Machiavellian plan ! I organized about 25% of the 160K words first draft of my trilogy, which isn’t much, but is better than nothing 🙂

Still not much. In fact I think I developed a sensitivity to physical and eBooks so Audio Books are my BFFs now.  I will try again to touch a physical book after NaNoWriMo to see if I don’t break into hives.

These are the books #AmCurrently attempting to finish. Of course there HAS to be a Mental Health book, All the Bright Places, which is the audio book so chances are I’ll finish it because IT’S SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL I CAN’T EVEN!. I’m also attempting two physical apocalyptic books: Wolf Road (a pending ARC) and Extinction Horizon because Chuckles just make this series sound SO GOOD I HAD to try it!

Even though #AmCurrently NOT a reading beast, I hope you are enjoying our trip back to the dark side with my reviews…

All the Ugly and Wonderful things UGH THIS BOOK!

One of Us is Lying YEAH THIS BOOK!

These are the upcoming reviews

We have one more review for a dark, twisted, downright disgusting “love story”, Living Dead Girl [this book is GOOD people. very dark but GOOD!], and then we are done with that topic for a while and starting some more mysterious, paranormal otherworldly stuff like Never Never and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and dark fantasies and horror books like Sanctum, Wytches and and The Demonists.

These are the books I’ll be attempting to read next

What about you? Are you a reading, blogging and writing beast?

Thank you for visiting!

I’ve been a reading beast these last few months and a blogging ahead beast since I’m working on November (unless ttt posts their lists for October soon). I hope all the back to school craziness has gone well. I can’t imagine having to run from one thing to another (yet).

I’ve heard a lot about Dean Koontz but I’ve never read anything by him. Will be curious to see what you will think of it.

I’m feeling Recommendation Pressure now! wipes brow I really hope you like it! The Demonists is still lurking on my bookshelves so I’ll be interested to see what you think of it. Love your journal page! I have not been a reading beast recently. Last week I read one book. ONE! That is useless! Even my zombies can’t entice me out of the black hole of fatigue! I think I might have to do a reread or something to get moving again.

Yes… it’s that time of year, isn’t it? I’m starting back at college with my Creative Writing classes this coming week – but it certainly means that all the routines shift and change. Ooo… how exciting NaNoWriMo! I’ve never taken part, but I’ve writing buddies who have and really loved the whole experience. Have a great week – hopefully the new schedule will soon feel the norm. Back to school about says it all! Try to stay sane ha ha. And good luck with NaNo- that’s cool that you’re doing it this year. I should think about it again, but November’s not always a good month for me, especially since that’s Sci-Fi Month and I have posts planned. Of course my WIP is more important that Sci-Fi Month, but still… with the holidays too it becomes an issue. Anyway…

Extinction Horizon looks great . So does Never Never and I thought We Were Liar was a trip- hope you like!

Gotta say, your list makes me kinda tired. LOL It’s times like this when I am again thankful that it’s just me and The Husband. 🙂

77 draft posts? 77 DRAFT POSTS??!! Who are you, woman? Some kind of super blogger? You know how many draft posts I have? Uh, probably one. And I doubt it’s even completed and ready to go. I’ve decided… I want to be you when I grow up. LOL

Living Dead Girl kinds killed me. It’s been a couple years since I read it but I still remember just feeling so down after reading it. I’d hoped for something better for her and for it to end like that… it really brought me down. 🙁

I haven’t read anything by Dean Koontz in sooo long. I used to read everything he wrote and I guess I just finally got burned out.

hahaha why you always make me laugh Tanya! I just think A LOT! I’m an over-thinker, so I just write down all those thoughts in case I need inspiration LOL That’s exactly how I felt after reading Living Dead Girl !!! I haven’t been able to forget that book! It’s not good for the mood 🙂 I haven’t read Dean Koontz EVER so looking forward to it!

Yes for NaNoWriMo, I’m trying to prepare myself as well, though I’m really bad at plotting, I always end up just going wherever my typing brings me… and surprise myself, I feel like plotting takes the fun out of it. What happens, of course, is that on the first of November I stare at a blank document and don’t know what to do with it.

I do miss your lovely headers! 77 drafts though??? O.o wow, that IS a lot. But you’re giving me the idea of maybe writing it into a draft instead of putting it on my phone’s notepad, which the ideas rarely ever leave 😀

My goodness! Look at you GO you blogging beast! 77 drafts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That’s AMAZING!

Wishing you all of the luck and fun of NaNo! I’m looking forward to some updates when you can. 🙂

I’m looking forward to reading your review of Miss Peregrines!

Slowly, slowly, slowly clawing my way back into the blogosphere! I will get there!
