Productive Procrastination – A Bookworm/Blogger/Writer’s nirvana or…

WHY I Journal and what to journal about!

Hello prettiest beasts among all beasts in this beastverse.

Let’s talk more Journaling!

Because, really…

Is there anything better????

Oh…Yup, you are right. Reading! What? OK, yes, writing/blogging is better too… Huh? Maybe eating and drinking. What? Movies? TV Shows? Traveling? OK. OK. OK. There ARE indeed other things better than journaling! [Man!]

BUT

You probably noticed that Journaling has become one of my favorite ways to productively procrastinate, because.. Well… I’m convinced that…

Journaling is yoga for the mind and soul! πŸ™‚

The most common definition of “journaling out there is…

“a record of experiences, ideas, or reflections kept regularly for private use”

And there seem to be MANY kinds of journals one can keep: Bullet Journals, Art Journals, Travel Journals, Junk Journals, etc. etc. etc.

I particularly like Bullet and Art journals.  They keep me creative, organized, centered, relaxed,  and they stretch my consciousness and force me to pay attention to things otherwise will go unnoticed in the craziness that my daily life is.

In other words, I become a little quasi-Buddha, a nirvanish alternative to forgetful-all-over-the-place ADHD Dory. πŸ™‚

With journaling I KNOW what I need to do and when. And after I do it, I KNOW what I did and how felt about it. My journal tells me everything about ME and my life. And BELIEVE me, to my inner egomaniac, there is very few things more interesting! πŸ™‚

[I know, I know, most people don’t need a notebook to tell them about themselves and their lives but, most people ain’t Dory!]

As you may have noticed too, I’m a seasonal beast. I “create” and come up with new projects in summer and winter when I’m less busy, and then I just focus on surviving Springgedon and Fallcalypses. It was in the summer of 2014 when I decided to write a book, and the winter of 2015 when I decided to start my first of three blogs and this summer when I decided to start bullet and art journaling.

And I like to plan [HA! The understatement of the year] so I can keep doing these new projects in Springgedon and Fallcalypses. Because if I don’t plan, when I get home exhausted, I do nothing but slacking. So, I came up with this list of prompts, which I want to share with you, because I hope everyone in the universe stars journaling because…

Is there anything better????

[Glad we agree there isn’t! πŸ™‚ ]
