Review

So this movie had terrible reviews and I’m such a sucker for bad reviews! Because I’m a rebel at heart [or so I like to say] and refuse to follow the heard [or so I like to say]. But guess what? In this case, they were well deserved! Maybe the book is better but of course I won’t be reading it now.

Even though I really couldn’t predict the end until, well almost the end, this plot was so so so predictable and MEH.

OMG we were yawing the entire movie!

The acting was just Ok. Emily Blunt was giving her all to this drunken miserable character and all these “mysteries” around her but the story was so seriously ordinary that there was not much she could do with it. So the whole story develops because she is obsessed with this couple right? But there wasn’t even a real reason for her character to get so obsessed in the first place so the rest of the drama and the plot and the “tension” felt so incredibly fabricated that It was impossible to like it.

We finished it just because it was a family gathering and I guess no one wanted to be the one to say. I AM DONE! But one by one, all of us started to look at their iPhones more and more. I guess social media was a lot more exciting. 🙂

What about you? Have you watched this movie? did you like?
