#amreading and #amwriting – Scrivener Part II – Characters profiles 22

Because characters are the heart of the story!

Hello all!

I usually do my #amreading and #amwriting updates separately but today I have a few updates so I hope you don’t mind if I do both 🙂

First… Let me tell you about Thundersnow! We got about a foot of snow last week and during the snowstorm we had very loud thunders and lightning. Apparently Thundersnow is not very common so I thought you should now about it 🙂

Second… please allow me to document another oddity. This is really a historical moment because we may never see this again in our life-time!

I’m THREE BOOKS ahead of schedule in my reading challenge and my Netgalley ratio is above 60%!!!

These are the seven books Goodreads shows I have read this year…

I adopted Ladislav Dragwlya, Daughter of the Dragon [AKA Lada].

You gotta check out my adoption story!

But I’m really NINE books ahead of schedule because I have read these book as well!

I don’t marked them as “read” until I post the reviews, so that’s why GR doesn’t count them for the challenge. Don’t those reviews coming up on the blog soon. 🙂

Third… drumroll please… I got my first autographed hardcover! Isn’t it beautiful???

Thank you so much Greg Boguslawski!

If you haven’t yet, please check out my review of Hell Diver. AWESOME BOOK!

This week #amreading these books…

#amwriting some, not as much as I would like, but I did learn how to create character sketches in Scrivener. I’m still learning my way through Scrivener so it took me about an hour to create these few character profiles:

What about you? How was your week?

Thank you for visiting!

It’s always good to be ahead of schedule on the Goodreads challenge. When they started doing that reading challenge I was taking part but I hated the sarky little messages when you were behind schedule telling you that you weren’t doing enough. I lost my temper with that and ranted on Goodreads Feedback site! I wanted GR to help me keep track, not lecture me, especially when they don’t know why you have dropped behind ie family death, personal illness etc. It was so rude.

I’m looking forward to reading Hell Divers at some point hopefully before spring. I have so much to get through this year and so many books I want to get on with!

Yay for being ahead in your goodreads challenge. My netgalley review % is 90. I actually get a bit twitchy when it falls below 85%. I would be in a full blown panic attack if it fell below 80%!
Before I fall was a good book! I enjoyed it! Hope you have a great week!

  • sjhigbee

It sounds like a great week – always an event when you break through to the next Netgalley feedback target ratio:). And you have clearly had a blast reading And I Darken. I’ve heard good things about this one and your review has encouraged me to consider adding it to my already teetering TBR… Have a wonderful week, preferably free of thundersnow!

We had a winter blast but it wasn’t cold enough for snow, just a lot of rain and very cold. The thunder was strange.
Great looking books this week. And congrats on your reading progress so far. I’m way ahead of schedule but many of them are children’s books, not full length novels. I still include them as I have to work over the reviews though.

  • Greg

Ha thundersnow! I only heard of that when the strange phenomenon happened here a few years ago. I was like seriously?? And good for you on the reading! Before I Fall and Hyperbole and a Half are both books I’d like to get to.

  • Deborah

I’ve got Scrivener… well I had it and assume it’s still on my desktop somewhere but haven’t used all of its functionality so much learn more about it IF I ever do any more writing!

  • Kristen @ Metaphors and Moonlight

I can’t believe you actually got a signed copy of Hell Divers just from asking for one in your review, haha. You’re like some sort of evil genius. I’m so jealous. Especially since it’s got such an awesome cover!

I read all or most of the stuff on the Hyperbole and a Half site at some point because my college roomie loved it and showed it to me and got me hooked lol. It’s so funny. And yay, congrats on being ahead on books! I feel like your post is so full of excitement lol.

I guess they could tell I was a totally derailed fan that absolutely NEEDED that signed copy LOL!!! Hyperbole and a Half and pure geniusness! LOVE IT. Yup this is a good time to be a bookblogger 🙂 the posts will get less exciting as we approach the springeddon though ;-D

I’ve had Before I Fall sitting on my bookshelf for a ridiculous amount of time and still haven’t read it. And now it looks like it probably won’t happen before the movie comes out. I’ve heard so many raves for And I Darken but I’m still not clear on what it’s about. I’m about to go check out your review! Hope you’re enjoying your current reads!

Congrats on your Goodreads and Netgalley goals. I’m seriously behind on my Goodreads because #LIFE. I read Hyperbole and a Half when it first came out and had the most fun with it. She has a new one coming out soon (or it may already be out) and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. So glad you liked And I Darken. Chances are good I will like it as well then. I also have The Cresswell Plot and can always use more creepy in my life!

Thundersnow sounds pretty intense and amazing – wow!

Also yay for three/nine books ahead!! I’m currently 3 books behind but my feedback ration is still over 80% by some amazing means!

I am in the middle of a Lunar Chronicles buddy read with a friend and we’re about to pick up Cress (after we review Scarlet). I also want to read more Lauren Oliver as her only book that I’ve read so far is Replica.

I don’t write, so I’ve never actually seen Scrivener before – thanks for the screenshot! It looks amazing and if I did write I would totally have to have it.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog this week!

Lunar Chronicles… BEST SERIES EVER!!! My review of Cinder is coming up soon 🙂 Hope you are enjoying it 🙂
I heard Scrivener is good for blogging too! I hope to learn it all soon 🙂 I can always use help staying organized 🙂
